Burt's Bee is a household name. I'm sure everyone has at least one item in their possession.

A while back, Burt's Bees had two pop-up shops at Westfield Sydney and Westfield Miranda. To find out more about those events click on the Westfield location above.

The pop-up store was to give customers a test, play and a chance to purchase products from their ever expanding range and especially to promote their Radiance Range.

The featured ingredient in all the Radiance range is Royal Jelly - Very nourishing, royal jelly is made of nectar, pollen, flower parts, vitamins, minerals, bee hormones and other natural ingredients.

Night cream
This light-weight natural moisturiser is specially formulated with royal jelly, one of nature's most nutritious substances, and botanical oils and extracts to help enhance skin's natural radiance. With lemon, rosemary and pine tree extracts for deep overnight treatment, you’ll get naturally radiant, younger-looking skin.

I have heard lots about the health benefit of Royal Jelly. Royal Jelly is loaded with amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins B5 & B6.

The texture was very light, and slightly sticky. The sticky feeling disappeared pretty quickly. The cream absorbed right in and did not feel greasy or heavy at all.  My skin felt nourished and hydrated.

I found the scent subtle and very pleasant.  I like my face creams to be subtle as it is close to the nose so this is perfect.  In the morning I find my skin to be soft, supple and hydrated without the feeling of it being oily.

It claims to improve your complexion, reduce/prevent fine lines, and make the skin radiant. With Royal Jelly, it nourishes the skin and firms it, delaying the ageing process.

Eye cream
Helps soften skin, increase radiance, and restore essential moisture to the delicate skin around the eyes.  It has a medium creamy consistency.  It feels a little sticky at first but after a few minutes it's absorbed nicely.

Body lotion
This natural body lotion is specially created to enhance your skin's natural glow. Packed with 134 nutrients, including 17 amino acids, and vitamins A, C, D and K, as well as multiple B-vitamins. Sunflower oil moisturises and mica, a light reflecting mineral, enhances your skin's natural glow. The result is soft, shimmering skin you'll love.

The body lotion smells divine and glides on like a dream. Very moisturising without feeling greasy. The shimmer is a nice touch without it looking over sparkly.

I would love to know what's your favourite Burt's Bees products.

I have been counting down the days for Sephora to reach Australia and the time has almost come, opening their doors on the 5th December 2014.

I've been very good this year with my beauty spending, Cutting down to more than half so I can spend huge at Sephora in NY. But then I found out the Sephora was coming to town and I stalled my spending in the US, only buying a few necessary products.

My excitement and nerves has been building so much that the last time I remember feeling like this was when New Kids on the Block came to tour!

With my Christmas wish list so long that I needed two rolls of loo paper to write it all on I think I would have to remortgage my home! (A smidge of an exaggeration!)

On the 5th December, I will be having the day off as are many beautiholics alike. The buzz will be out of this world and it's definitely worth coming to Sydney for.  As an added bonus Sephora are gifting visitors who fly interstate to their grand opening as a grand gesture to say thank you.  So make sure you bring your boarding passes with you!

I've been reading snippets of info on the net that Sephora won't be stocking all the same brands as the US, like Chanel, Yves St Laurent, Lancome and a few other luxe brands which will be a disappointment but they have promised to price match US prices on some of the brands they  are stocking.  The good news is that this has set healthy competition between rivalling department stores,

Sephora has released a list of  brands that will be stocked exclusively in their Australian store. There are 34 brands in total.
Andrea Fulerton
Cover FX
Crème Simon
Elizabeth and James
Estelle & Thild
Etat Libre d’Orange
For Beloved One
Formula X
Givenchy Colour
Hello Kitty
IT Cosmetics
Kat Von D
Marc Jacobs Beauty
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
Ole Henriksen
Percy & Reed
Sephora Collection
Skin Inc.

I haven't heard of some of these brands but hey, that makes it more exciting doesn't it!  More discoveries, more makeup play and more purchases!

I'll let you in on a little secret, if you come into town on Friday the 28th November, Sephora are surprising city shoppers with gifts.  So if you can 't make it on the 5th you can still get some Sephora fever tomorrow.

So who attending the opening?  Will you be flying in?  I would love to know what you think.

The time has come around again for the Kids Business Bloggers Brunch which was held at the beautiful location of Centennial Park.

As usual nerves hit when the day comes around, meeting new bloggers, products and potential new contacts with brands to work with in the future.

There were many amazing brands exhibiting on the day.  Dyson, OMO, Jif, Infasecure, Only Organic Baby, Breville, AVG, Arnott's, Hans and Brumbys Bakery.

Dyson were promoting their ever so fab AM07 Dyson Cool Fan, already a huge fan (no pun intended!). Happy to see such a large company always supporting mummy bloggers.  The truth is, us mums are the ones who put in all the hard work to research products to buy for our home and family so it only seems fit to target mums.

If you are interested in the Dyson Cool and are deciding on one, you can read about it in my review here and if you have any questions about it, please comment or message me and I will be happy to answer any questions you have.

Brumbys showcased their Christmas range.  No more slaving for hours in the kitchen baking and spending more time where it matters. Here are some tasty treats that are available at a store near you.

Oricom displayed a range of products from Baby Monitors, fun Animal Night Lights and thermometers.

Breville demonstrated ‘the Boss™' superblender.  It definitely rivalled the Vitamix.  Breville blended green smoothies that were delish and even madeyummy sorbet!

Infasecure exhibited ‘the Evolve’- the first child restraint in Australia to allow the use of a six-point harness from approximately six months through a large eight year old, offering superior protection to a wider range of children for longer.

Only Organic had a wide selection of their products from rice crackers to pureed fruit and custard, perfect from the age of 6 months and up. Only Organic uses only the best produce and ingredients to produce nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for the little ones.   Only Organic is available at all major supermarkets and well as their online store.  We were all given a generous pack full of products to take home and try.

Omo and Jif  had a very cute display and a fun and dirty game.  They displayed all their products and we were able to take home a very nice goodie bag with lots of products to try.

Lovely ladies from Omo

We had 15 seconds to dig and find as many worms as possible!

AVG is an online security brand that is available free from their website.  Depending on what type of security you were after whether it be safety for children, spamming or virus protector, they cover the lot.  Check out AVG on their website for more info.

Oliving by Hans had an array of tasty deli meats for sampling.  Oliving offers a uniquely delicious combination of the finest meat and olive oil.

Shapes Light and Crispy had sample tasting of their range and they were addictive especially the salt 'n' vinegar.  A tastier and healthier alternative to chips, Arnott's have released a great product to curb those munchies.  There are 4 flavours to choose from Salt'n'Vinegar, Honey BBQ Chicken, Tasty Chedder & Chives, Sweet Chili and Sour Cream.

Yum, my favourite flavour

Before I end my post, I wanted to give a special mention to a fantastic cause that Kids Business supports.

The Nappy Collective collects leftover unused disposable nappies and redistributes them to organisations that support families in crisis or in need.  So when you donate your spare nappies, you help these families to focus more of their time and energy on getting their lives back on track.

Many mummy bloggers that attended kindly supported the cause and donated unwanted nappies.  It is still not too late to help The Nappy Collective, they are always in need of help.  If you have any nappy's that you want to donate visit The Nappy Collective's website.

BLINC BLACK LASH PRIMER REVIEW - ehancing your lashes

I've been a blinc mascara fan for over a year now and even though I have dozens of mascaras in my makeup drawer I pull this one out more often. I love blinc mascara because of it's different formulation from any other mascara on the market.

I'm an eye rubber, especially in Spring, I suffer from severe hay fever allergies and I need my eyes to look neat and clean and not have panda eyes in the middle of the day.

Blinc products are the easiest by far to remove from my lashes without losing lashes in the process.

Earlier in the year I wrote a post about the Beauty and Spa Expo and I mentioned Blinc's amazing product, you can read about it here

Since then, it has finally been released. I've been trialling the primer for a good couple of weeks now and I've been excited and extremely happy with this new addition to my mascara collection.

I've never used a lash primer before, actually I'm not a fan of any type of primer whether it is for skin or lashes but I have been converted to lash primers.

Here I have before primer, with primer and end result with mascara pics.

Without primer or mascara

With blinc black primer

End result with blinc black amplified mascara
End result of length and thickness

What's great about this primer is that it is black. This means you won't have your mascara colour getting diluted from the primer and for chics like me, no white spots left on the lashes on areas that you missed, giving you a cleaner and more true black lashtastic finish!

Blinc black lash primer doesn’t just enhance your lashes, it also treats your lashes, encouraging new lash growth for thicker, longer lashes over time, while enriching vitamins and nourishing ingredients condition and protect lashes from damage and environmental stresses.

Made without Carbon Black (which can be harmful) and fragrance free, the new blinc black lash primer is another blinc product that doesn’t irritate my sensitive contact-wearing eyes.

Blinc black lash primer was easy to apply using the silicone wand applicator that separates and coats lashes. Immediately apply your mascara of choice. There are no clumps.  The lashes are coated all equally giving you even and clean finish.

What's great about this primer, you can use it with any other brand that is on the market but for optimum results it is recommended to use with blinc products.

The primer and mascara are easy to remove with any type of makeup remover. I personally get lazy some evenings and just wash my face with cleanser and warm water and the mascara falls off in strands leaving no residue on the skin or lashes.

blinc products are available at David Jones and so in Sephora!  If you want to know more about blinc, visit their website at

British Brand Baylis & Harding brings gorgeous gifts sets to Australia in time for the festive season.

I recently discovered this brand and have fallen in love with the amazing range of gift packs available for Christmas. French Lavender & Cassis Foot Pampering Set $10

Mulberry, Hollyhock & Thyme Skin Spa Weekend Bag Gift Set $20

Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit Luxury Gown Set $30

Royale Bouquet Classic Hand Wash & Lotion Gift Set $10

I invited my girlfriend around and we had a play and tested the products.  My favourite would have to be the Mulberry, Hollyhock & Thyme Skin Spa Weekend Bag Gift set.

The herbal therapy steam cream wash was luxurious on the skin and you only needed a little bit to go a long way,  fragrance was subtle which was great as I don't like overpowering scented products.

After my shower I lathered myself with the body cream and my skin felt amazing and soft.

Tash's favourite was French Lavender & Cassis Foot Pampering Set.  She loved the cosy pair of socks, did her spa soak pedi and then moisturised her feet and covered them with the socks.

Baylis & Harding range of fabulous gift products for men and women, available in Australia via Big W.

You can check out both websites for more information.

For the overseas readers, Baylis & Harding is available on Amazon, Debenhams and other international retailers.

Burt's Bees Pop-up Store @ Pitt Street Mall Westfields Sydney

Howdy, what a gorgeous day today was (Sunday). Sunny, blue skies perfect day out to visit Pitt Street Mall for some shopping and pit stop at Burt's Bees pop-up store for some hand therapy, since my hands were sore from carrying shopping bags I need some digit de-stressing.

I stopped by the pop-up store and it was buzzing with lots of people testing products, getting hand massages and taking pics in the queen bee chair.

I was introduced to Rox (hand massager goddess).  I could of sat there for an hour, continuous massaging, feeling so relaxed, she was super good.  I'm not just saying that, it's true,  I've had those promo hand massage's at those little tables in either Myer or David Jones with brand products on them, offering free hand massages, I feel like I wasted my time sitting there because you could feel that no effort was put into it at all.

Rox was the Queen Bee of all the Lady Bees, she talked me through all the ranges of hand creams, the Radiance Range, variety of facial wipes and lip balms.

My hands were massage with Burt's Bees Honey & Grapeseed hand cream. The fragrance was subtle and really nice, it absorbed within minutes in my thirsty hands.  They felt soft and smooth, I really liked how my hand felt afterwards.  Cuticle cream was applied at the end finishing off my massage. Amazingly tonight whilst typing this I had a good look at my hands and my cuticles still looked moisturised and soft even after washing the dishes after dinner.

I felt so relaxed, after browsing through the range available, I walked straight over to the lovely man handing out chocolates and happily ate it.

Let me know if you popped down to Pitt St mall over the weekend and what you thought, did you buy anything?
