CleverWhite Dissolving Whitening Strips Review

I have being using CleverWhite strips for about 14 days. The strips were very easy to use, you press the strips onto teeth and fold the hanging edge under. The strips stay until dissolved. Its takes roughly about 10 minutes to complete treatment.

The taste was minty and pleasant. Each strip contains 6% hydrogen peroxide – the highest level of concentration allowed for over-the-counter use in Australia. The strips have been clinically proven by independent European laboratories to be safe and effective.

You do not want to a have a conversation on the phone whilst you have these on your teeth (like I did), way too messy, dribble was hard to control!

Using them was like have peanut butter on your teeth as it was uncomfortable at first and as by instinct when there is something on your teeth you tend to brush it with your tongue which was difficult to stop, but after a week of using the clear strips it became easier and more tolerable.

The clear strips dissolves into a gel like substance which is very soft and gooey. After 10 minutes I rinsed my mouth out with water and gently removed excess gel with my tongue.

Each strip is individually wrapped
Instructions on the back

This is what the strip looks like

Despite the weird experience, I had immediate successful results, which was very pleasing. Just after my first application I noticed my teeth whiter and after two weeks the yellowness that I had around the teeth-gum line has gone so I am extremely pleased.

My teeth are noticeably whiter and brighter and I had no irritation or sensitivity on my teeth or gums from using CleverWhite.

How does this work?
The secret lies in the product’s dissolving technology which safely administers the correct dosage of the active ingredient onto the teeth. The peroxide release is delivered in a sustained and controlled manner which speeds up absorption by the teeth enamel to achieve exceptional whitening results. This method is so precise that gums won’t be irritated or affected by the ingredient.

The strips also help kill the oral bacteria that cause gum disease – ensuring triple dental action in one single product.

I think this is a great alternative to visiting the dentist. You can do in your own free time, it costs a fraction of the price and the extra dosh you save at the dentist could go towards a nice pair of shoes!

I will definitely be using this product for regular maintenance.  The name says it all!

My overall rating  - 4/5

CleverWhite Dissolving Whitening Strips are available at Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, other leading pharmacies and online – RRP $29.95 for 42 strips

A while back I wrote a post about where to find the factory outlets in Europe. After such a busy schedule I was able to put my first list together. Starting off with Italy.

Please note when we travelled around Italy we had a car, it was cheap and easy driving around and perfect for carrying all our goodies.

Prada Space Outlet

Florence has some of the best and most extensive outlets in europe and maybe the world. The very first outlet in Europe I came across was the huge Prada factory outlet store. It was amazing. In 2004 my hubby and I walked out with a total of 27 pairs of shoes and 6 handbags, a few belts and accessories for under $1,800 euros. This had left a taste in my mouth wanting more.

Address: Via Levanella Becorpi, Localita Levanella, S.S. 69, Montevarchi, Italy

The Mall
From here we visited The Mall. Also amazing with brands like Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Hogan, Dior and heaps more.

Address: via Europa, 8 in Leccio Reggello

Barbarino Designer Outlet
Brands like Missoni, Calvin Klein, Prada, Gas, Coccinelle, Blumarine and much more.

Address: Via Meucci snc, 50031 Barberino di Mugello

Seravalle Factory Outlet

Another great outlet with many great brands like Bvlgari, Prada, Armani, Camper, Cerruti, Benetton and more.

Address: Via della Moda, 1, 15069 Serravalle Scrivia (AL) Italia

Mattel Factory Outlet
This was my favourite store. I felt like a kid again and stocked up on rare Barbie dolls, some lego and other toys.

Address: Via Vittorio Veneto 119, Oleggio Castello, Novara, Piemonte, Italy 28040

Il Salvagente
Another great outlet in Milan have different brands to other outlets in Italy like Emilio Pucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, La Perla, Maison Margiel, Alberta Ferretti, Antonio Marras, Aspesi, Blumarine, Diane von Furstemberg, Diesel, Dolce e Gabbana, Dries van Noten and heaps more.

Address: Via F.lli Bronzetti, 16, 20129 Milan

Fox Town

This was heaven. I purchased some more shoes and handbags, dresses, tops and accessories. There are around 250 stores, my favourite being Gucci. They seemed to have my size in everything.

This outlet is just past the Italian border into Switzerland. If you are driving from Italy to Switzerland make sure you are prepared to pay for annual road tax. This is not included in your car hire, if you do not pay you cannot go through. It's is not much, when we were there it was around AUD$30. It may be more now. But it is worth it.

Address: Via A. Maspoli 18, CH-6850 Mendrisio, Switzerland

Bicester Village

Whilst living in England Bicester Village was a 15 minute drive from where we lived and we used to visit it religiously every fortnight. We picked up so many bargains and accumulated so much clothes we could of opened up a store. For example we were obsessed with Pepe Jeans and we owned about 12 pairs each. At 15 pounds a pair when they had spot sales or special deals on the weekend it was amazing.

They have brands like Bose, Timerland, Ferragamo, Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarsh, 7 for all mankind, Bally, Boss, Burberry and heaps more.

Address: 50 Pingle Dr Bicester OX26 6WD

Gunwharf Quays Portsmouth
The brands here are more High Street and mid end types like The Body Shop, O'Niell, Oakley, Paul Smith, Osprey, Ted Baker and more.

Being by the water, the view is stunning and makes for a great day out.

Address: Gunwharf Quays Shopping Centre, Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, PO1 3TZ

Mulberry Factory Shop
The Mulberry factory shop sells a good selection of bags with 30-50 percent off regular shop prices. It’s divided into three sections: discontinued bags, factory specials and seconds.

Aquascutum Factory ShopThe new Aquascutum shop is full of brilliant buys. Suits, classics macs and perfect knits at up to 30%. You’ll even find a good selection of accessories and golf gear.

Address: 7-8 Chatham Place, E9 6LT3, London

Clarks Village
This popular Somerset shopping spot, a short drive from the Mulberry factory shop, has a Clarks outlet as well as over 90 other high street and designer brands with discounts of up to around 60 percent. labels include Loake shoes for men, Adidas trainers, Levi’s, Osprey London, Jaeger, Whistles and Joules as well as discounted homeware from classic brands like Denby, Le Creuset and Wedgwood.

Burberry Factory Shop

Address: 29-31 Chatham Place, E9 6LP9, London

Like with every outlet shopping luck and bodysize determines how succesful your visit will be. It can be random, one visit you will find everything and it will fit, other times not so lucky.

Best thing about shopping in outlets, you know what you buy will be originals and not knockoffs.

August Priceline Beauty Haul

I love walking into Priceline and browsing through their isles.  There is always something on special or a promotion attached to it.  During lunch I always wonder into my local Priceline and rarely leave without purchasing something.

This month I walked away with several products.

It claims to correct the appearance of skin ageing, including the look of lines, wrinkles, crow's feet, sagginess and enlarged pores.  Just that sold me.

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden 5 minute thermal detox mask
There are some days that my skin really needs a mask and between work and family life, to find 20 minutes to slap on a mask can be impossible, so when my eyes picked up the words '5 minute' I stopped in my tracks and took note.

Lapurete Okuru Facial Exfoliant
I think I've tried every facial exfoliant/scrub there is on the market.  I came across this new brand I don't recall seeing in Priceline and thought oooohhhh, a newbie to try.

On my next visit I walked away with some more goodies.

I went in for some cuticle cream and walked out with the rest.

L'oreal Youth Code
30% off I couldn't resist to stock up.  I love L'oreal I was using their cream moisturiser and came across the lotion with SPF15.

Priceline nail polish remover
Same same but cheaper.

Sally Hansen cuticle eraser
I had to stop my skin biting.  My cuticles have been dry due to the cold weather and I was being a naughty girl picking and damaging them.  So I purchased this to rescue my poor cuticles.

Sally Hansen 4 in 1 nail buffer
Need I say more?  Small, handy and fits in my handbag.  Just what I needed as I broke a nail on the way back to work.

And as a bonus, SCORE, I got a gift for spending over $20 on Sally Hansen.  What an amazing gift. This is why I love Priceline, not only are the prices competitive, I earn loyalty points (that is when I remember to bring my card) and I receive gifts for spending too.

Derma e Psorzema Body Wash and Crème Review

It can be difficult to find skin products that have gentle ingredients or no fragrance especially for children.  My son has sensitive skin with dermatitis on his cheeks and the back of his arms which get aggravated in winter.  Currently, I apply Elidel (which contains cortisone) on my sons cheeks to help him with the lumps and redness.  I will cease using Elidel to commence the Derma e products.

Derma e Psorzema Body Wash
Derma e Psorzema Body Wash is a natural, gentle body wash that cleanses away scaling and flaking skin while soothing itchiness, redness and irritation on the body, face and scalp. It has been formulated with neem, burdock, bearberry and vitamins A and E to deliver healing, soothing nourishment as well as antibacterial properties to help calm and rebalance irritated skin. This natural cleansing alternative can be used daily in place of soap for problem skin.

The body wash has a nice and thick texture.  I used the body wash on myself and son everyday for just over two weeks. After each show or bath our skin felt soft.  I would apply the Psorzema Crème everyday after each shower.

I found that I no longer felt itchy on my shins and legs and my skin looked and felt soft and moisturised.  My son's body has improved dramatically, with the lumps on the back of his arms almost gone.  His skin all over is softer. His cheeks have improved, they are not as red or irritated as usual, which is great because that means I will use less of a medicated cream and more of a natural product.

Derma e Psorzema Crème
Psorzema Crème  is a deeply moisturising cream that safely and effectively relieves scaly, flaky and itchy dry skin associated with psoriasis and eczema. The cream absorbs easily and gently calms and soothes hot, irritated skin. It has been formulated with a safe and effective blend of herbal extracts and skin vitamins such as neem, burdock, bearberry and vitamins A and E to help soften and soothe dry, irritated, scaling skin. It penetrates deeply to help reduce redness and encourage healthy skin. The pleasant moisturising formula is free from steroids as well as coal and pine tars.

The texture both thick and light.  The creme absorbs immediately into my skin leaving it moisturised and not greasy.  I normally dislike the feeling body moisturisers leave on my skin but this product leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth without the stickiness and greasy feel.  Using both the body wash and creme together has given us both the maximum benefits.
My overall rating - 5/5

Derma e products are reasonably priced Psorzema Crème, RRP $28.95; Psorzema Body Wash, RRP $15.95

Chanel Short Film Called 'WOMEN ONLY' by Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld has moved onto his next project for Chanel – a short film about nothing in particular which includes his Pre Collection AW 2013/14.

The film is called 'Women Only'.  The girls wear a lot of beautiful Chanel, and give various forms of attitude to two older women who appear to run the theatre.  Lagerfeld even cameos as the bouncer. The whole film has an eery feel to it, with scary background music.  A typical Lagefeld feel movie and I like it.

Chanel Superstition Collection 2013

It's been a bit quiet on the purchasing front, with work and life consuming all of July.  I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms, so I checked myself into my favourite store at Bondi Junction and explored the latest collection Chanel's Superstition Fall 2013.  I tested the colours and fell in love with the whole collection.  But I had to settle only on two pieces.

The Le Blush Creme De Chanel in Presage

These are the lastest of the Chanel blushes released for Autumn. I loved all six shades they came in. I chose 'Presage' (62) as Spring is around the corner and the orange colour would suit perfectly.

Le Blush creme de Chanel is nicely pigmented with colour and can be applied as a soft, sheer layer or more heavily for richer, more opaque color coverage. I love that they are versatile in pigmentation, so they can work for fairer complexions as well as deeper skin tones.

Le Vernis 'Alchimie'

Alchimie, the only Limited Edition of the 3 new polishes in the collection. The other two were Elixir and Mysterious. I only purchased Alchimie as the other two were really similar to colours I had previously purchased. It's

The colour is really amazing. it has a dimensional golden green, almost metallic, shimmer polish and looks amazing on.

I received a couple of samples to go with my purchases. As a VIP occassionally Chanel will invite you to trial sample.

This will expand and plump lashes to their fullest

My favourite perfumes - Chance

Couleur Caramel Naturals Review

Couleur Caramel is a natural organic cosmetics company.  It was launched in Australia in 2006 and its products contain Certified Organic and Fair Trade ingredients, which are housed in innovative recycled and recyclable packaging.   I have three products that I was sent to review.

Crayon Eye and/or Lip Pencil
Lipstick in No 210
Dark circle concealer in 08

Crayon Eye Pencil
I love black eyeliner pencils. This eye pencil was soft on application and highly pigmented. The quality is definitely visible. What is also good that after a few minutes I couldn't smudge it so no accidental smudge when applying makeup.

Dark circle concealer
With age comes dryness and pigmentation. As you can see in the photo above my eye area is a little darker than the outer eye. Lets not blame age for everything, the weather (Winter) is also to blame for the slight dryness I am experiencing at the moment. Certain types of concealers that I use during the warmer months I cannot use during winter as it becomes noticeable and cakey. When I applied the dark circle concealer I was surprised that it was so creamy and then set to powder once on my skin. It was subtle but very effective and I barely put any on.  There is no caking or build up of this product.  I really loved the texture.  Its compact, light and very effective.

As you can see in the before and after photo. I've placed the dark circle concealer around my entire eye including my lid. This product has evened out my entire skin tone around my eye. The dark patches are gone.

I like this lipstick. It’s very moisturizing and the color is rich. It’s a shimmery rosy brown colour.  Unfortunately the colour wasn't suitable for my skin so I haven't shown a photo of it on my lips but the colour is beautiful and long lasting.  It is densely pigmented so you do not need to repeat application when applying.

The Packaging
It is simple and conveys the idea of “nature”, as it is made of cardboard and it is entirely recyclable.

All the products are nice and compact which is perfect for the handbag. They are very light so having several products in your bag will feel like your not carrying any makeup, perfect for the traveller. The lid of the lipstick simply pulls off, no clicking or twisting so I will have to be careful if I have this in my bag as the lid will slip off very easily. I'll be keeping the actual packaging to place the lipstick inside to keep it secure.

Overall impression?
I loved the colours, the quality and the packaging and the fact they are certified organic.  My sister would be so proud of me!  With the Couleur Caramel range made entirely in Europe (Italy, France) you can be reassured that you are getting quality products at amazing prices.
